The Roguelike Gallery has survived its seventh year. I have missed several monthly updates because of other projects, but I am now writing again and still at work.
A few interesting things have happened in the interim. Vanguard escaped from the Rogue V3 dungeon with the Amulet, but the feat involved a bug granting permanent haste.
Back in September, Ken Arnold, Michael Toy, and Glenn Wichman were at an event in San Francisco, all in the same place at the same time, discussing Rogue! I was very disappointed that I could not attend.
Right now, I am working on some improvements to the Gallery's infrastructure. For the past seven years, I have been using the same laptop for both development and testing. It didn't even support virtualization. I now have a real testing server, so I hope for more efficient development and smoother upgrades.
Sometime in the next few days, the Gallery will go offline for an upgrade. When it returns, it will have HTTPS support. Your passwords will now be protected as they travel across the perilous Net. Links to the pre-HTTPS Web app will no longer work, so make sure to use "https://rlgallery.org:8080/".
